Please enjoy Teresa's performance of "熱海の夜 (Atami no Yoru) ", meaning "Night at Atami", originally sung by 箱崎晋一郎 (Hakozaki Shin-ichiro). 山岡俊弘 (Yamaoka Toshihiro) composed the song, and 荒川利夫 (Arakawa Toshio) wrote the lyrics.

Atami (熱海) is a hot-spring resort located at about 105 km west from Tokyo.

The following are the Japanese lyrics, with my English translation.

The statue comes from an old Japanese famous novel 金色夜叉 (Konjiki Yasha) written by 尾崎紅葉 (Ozaki Kohyoh).

The boys name is 寛一 (Kan-ichi), and the girls name is お宮 (Omiya).

ONE of the best Japanese song of Teresa Teng. I know this song since 30years ago. However, I fall in love with this song 20years ago. especially when you listen at night, at a quiet environment. althought i don't understand the word, but Teresa voice is superb.
