Although I'm sure it was not your intent, this is one of your most popular videos because of all the parents who play it for their children. They like the song but are indifferent to the video. I see there are a lot of young people who feel compelled to disparage the song and love the video makign fun of it. They do this to differentiate themsleves from the children that the song is made for. I expect they will feel different when (if) they become parents.

Same beat, but different lyrics, here it is:

Yeah, makes no sense, but that's the reason why it's still funny....in irony I guess. lol

My two year old twins LOVE that ridiculous Raffi song and tonight, while I was doing work on my laptop, they came over and asked to see videos online. Awesome! My inspiration was boredom and the fact that I had that song on my play list for some reason. It all started with the Banana Phone flash animation, but don't show your kids that.
