i always wonder if the mat was slippery.

Even though she fell on vault, she did amazing on bars, beam, and floor.

She's so under-rotated and she didn't bend her knees early enough to compensate, it was her not the mat.

Ummm, if the mat were slippery ALL the gymnasts would have fallen, dumbasses. And Keri did not have to perform her last vault for the US to win the gold. They were too far ahead of the Russians by that point.

@mrpatriot83 No, because Kerri Strug still need to score a 9.493.

This was so confusing even when it was going on because everybody's numbers were different. But Kerri's vault, no matter what, definitely won them gold without any confusion.

@12bmills she redeemed herself in the AA's when she landed both her vaults on her feet and she stuck the second one. interestingly enough, she chose a different mat that day. seems to have worked

@sugafrost3 Yeah the mat may have been slippery, but she also waaaaaaaaaaaaay underrotated it, there was no way she was going to stick that landing no matter what the landing surface was like.
