  • Wow. Jazz really is an endangered music. This thing only has 5 likes? It's probably the best recording of this jazz standard and it has John Coltrane. It's now a #badassjam!

  • This is my favourite Monk tune. I love him shouting for Coltrane. I love the swing and the joy of it. Monk's phrasing is particularly tantalising here. All the musicians are playing at the height of their powers. Glorious.

  • Too slow

  • I have enjoyed this cut since I first heard it on a 'greatest,,," album in HS -- 1970's . I previously thought the drummer was Roy Haynes . SO ENJOYABLE !!!! And then Monk shouts for Coltrane ! Like you died & went to a show in Paradise! Happy New Years 2012 jazz lovers !!!

  • this is some otha shit

  • Danny Gatton did a great version of this on his last album before he died. The album is called Relentless with Joey De Francesco. What a waste of great talent..why did Danny have to kill himself?

  • Great

  • Chet Baker's version is my favorite. Chet Baker Sextet - Well You Needn't
