I remember first hearing about this in the very early 80's (wow has it been a long time!). My 2 older brothers (teenagers at the time) heard about it in school and soon everybody was trying to play the song backwards to hear the "creepy lyrics". There was even a whole talk-show dedicated to subliminal lyrics in music in general. Strange how these things come about...
