What about Logic's Low Latency mode? Also, try bypassing as many plug-ins as you can for tracking, then add them back in after.
It's not particularly helpful to say "increase OR decrease the buffer size" Which is it? You seem to be telling us that decreasing the buffer size will help.

@squirreltrench Hey thanks for your comment. These video's are up a good while now and I have been busy since. I will be doing more tuts in Jan and I will be sure to go into more detail about LLM and other suggestions you have made.

@02793 Hey, thanks for your comment, you could do what @Squirreltrench has suggested and bypass any plug ins that are heavy on your processor while you record and knock them back on when you are mixing.
