My test just walking around today with the new VPC-PD2BK i got from woot.com I have to say as someone who has used professional video equipment in the past for the price this thing takes really nice footage. My only real disappointment was night footage it seemed to overdo the built in video compression. The only other thing was that the zoom was clearly audible on playback but again for the price its a small complaint.

  • i wish u would of tested in a night club lol

  • I've been impressed with footage from you and from others. It's on sale again at Woot for $89 and I'm extremely tempted to pick one up for my blog. I can't decide whether to hold out and wait for a better deal or just pull the trigger. Anyway, thanks for your video! Footage looks awesome.

  • Chicago! My hometown!! LOL

I didn't even realize it until i saw the signs on the expressway.

..was too busy looking at the quality and such. haha!

Thanks for the video. It helped a lot!

Just bought my first camcorder! :)

  • I tried to look at the specs of this camera and I couldn't see the HD size, does it work on sd cards? Could i connect a portable drive instead (using usb cable?) thanks!

  • How would you say the quality is without re-compressing, and without youtubes compression on top of that. or how does raw footage look?
