@horsefan48 You're right...but Aang was practically born a monk, so he really didn't know his parents, hence no last name, Katara and Sokka are part of a tribe, so if they did have a last name, they never said it, Zuko's family is royalty, so once again some royals have last names, most just go by their title. In fact, Toph only has a last name because it was important for the watchers to know she was of noble blood, and that her family was influencial. Does that make sense?
