I was really happy to write this song with these outrageous lyrics by Doug Payne (coomadoug)
I played all the instruments.

The Bowels Of Hell

She took me from my comfort zone
I thought I knew her well.
When I awoke I wasn´t home,
But in the bowels of hell.

They say the young folk sew wild oats
Then come back to the fold.
We were just like hairy goats
And we would not be told

We danced without good music.
We loved without a soul.
We drank our spirits quickly.
She had us on a role.

We spent every dollar
On fancy booze and drinks
I wore a chain and collar
For my Dominatrix.

Sometimes you win sometimes you lose
Sometimes you need to let it all out
Sometimes you've been in the news
for things you wish nobody knew

For days and nights we´d stay awake
And countless joints we passed.
Every move we had to make
As if it was our last.

Her crazy Mom´s a junkie,
Her Dad, a hooker´s pimp.
Thank God my baby dumped me.
Confused, I took the hint.

She took me from my comfort zone
I thought I knew her well.
When I awoke I wasn´t home,
But in the bowels of hell.

They say the youngsters sew wild oats,
Then come back to the fold.
We were just like hairy goats,
Stupid wild and bold.

We danced without good music.
We loved without a soul.
We drank our spirits quickly.
She had us on a role.

Her crazy Mom´s a junkie,
Her Dad, a hooker´s pimp.
Thank God my baby dumped me.
From the bowels of Hell.

Sometimes you win sometimes you lose
Sometimes you need to let it all out
Sometimes you've been in the news
For things you wish nobody knew

  • Well, guys, you done it again.

I once actually looked like some of the characters in that montage. Those were days. The shaped us all, and bloody good luck that we survived at all, when I think about it.

Sitting here now thinking...Would I go through that again if I had the chance? Probably not, but still I'm glad I did, once.

(But that was quite enough, thank you.)

  • What a cool video Rick and great lyrics Doug. There are some characters in this that I still look like Alice, especially if I let my hair down...LOL! Great job by all and good VR to our latest mate. They say the best times in life can occur over 50, I must agree and hanging out with good folks like all of you here just makes it all that much better. Mark
