  • So, what has "Love gained that cannot disappear"?

  • Morality.

  • very cool way to express your talent.

  • Thanks! Love.

  • Thank you so much. Uncondtional love to all is definately a major key to unlocking something more beautiful. I don't know why, I just know.

  • I think you are getting selfishness mixed up with hate. The person who wanted the apple was selfish not hateful. "The fear of the Lord is to hate evil". (Proverbs 8:13) Hating evil doesn't destroy a person."The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." (Proverbs 1:7)"The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened." (Proverbs 10:27)

  • It is not morality that love gains, it is something that cannot be explained...and if you don't understand what it is that love gained, then you do not possess it. I am not saying this is bad, I agree with your defence of hate, but do not be so brazen to overlook what it is you lose...

  • Love doesn't gain morality by offering the apple, it gains nothing. It is not immoral to hate either, you know what would be immoral? not hating someone who destroys everything good about humanity, just because you don't want to be a hateful person, and allowing this behaviour to continue.

Hate is a very important creative and motivating force, a lot of music, films and art has emerged as a result of a preson or group hating the type of music/film/art/etc that was there before.

  • this is great.

  • Surely for love to make this choice, love already has the morality which gives them the capacity to make the choice, so they have gained nothing. They have simply expressed something they already had.

  • That's right - and nobody can say they don't hate at least one thing in their life. If they do, they're lying.

  • I think hate is important. It motivates. You don't want to live there all the time- of course- but it gets emotions happening and helps overcome passivity. Love's also good- but there's no need to be in love all the time.
