Hey guys, in this video I give an overview on how you can make profit merchanting potions by increasing their buying limit within the 4 hours, how to figure out if you can make profit decanting them, and how you're able to use all of this to possibly aid bulk merchanting for even more profit.

I understand this is a bit confusing, and if you don't understand it then it's probably not something you'd be comfortable doing anyway. I made this video as my efforts to explain this to people in game is often futile, even to people with experience.

Hopefully you've learnt something, if not then I hope you enjoyed the video. Cheers

*The On-screen hints read:

*This video explains...
-How to increase a potion limit
-How to profit from potion decanting
-How you can use this to aid 'Bulk Purchasing'

*Over the 4 hours you are unable to buy more than 1,000 Super strength potions, regardless of their dose. The only way to buy more is if some are sold.

Buying 1,000 4 dose and decanting to 3 dose gives a greater number of potions than if you had just originally bought your limit of 3 dose

*After a short amount of time I was able to buy 1333 4 Dose, 333 more than I should be able to. HOWEVER, remember this instant buy/sell method on bulk yields a loss, and should not typically be used unless the cost per dose is effective.

*Part 1 is just there to explain how using this method the number of potions you can buy increases, and does not stay at a 1k constant, or decrease, as you may initially have thought.

*High end potions as bigger prices generally gives a bigger margin for profit, as well as their demand can make for faster transactions.

*Should you pick this potion to merch, you would buy them at just over this ISP. The cost per dose is used to calculate if they are effective.

*IMPORTANT*
The two cost per dose prices we record are the ISP on the 4, say price X, and the IBP on the 3, say price Y.
If Price X [Less Than] Price Y by around 100gp or more, the item is possible to be done for a nice profit.
If Price X [Greater Than] Price Y, the item would lose money and SHOULD NOT be done.
In this case;
3227 [Less than] 4333 by over 100, so a good item to do.

*Ignoring the cost per dose for this case, you can see if a 4 Dose can be bought for the same price you can sell a 3 dose, there is profit to be had, as each trade you make gives you a free dose of the potion. In this case ~4k profit per on
1k potions.

*Usually you would buy them at 12,912 (Slightly over their ISP) to make even more profit per potion, however to ensure I got this on video I saved time instant buying, at the sake of a portion of my profit.

*Putting these back in to sell just below their IBP will maximise profit, however take extra time
[17.3m in sales]-[13.3m in Purchases]= 4m Profit, in a matter of minutes. This is as good as it ever gets, though good profit can be made in special cases like this.
*When markets are unstable they can often change in price rapidly, with this can come volatile, yet profitable prices.

*Remember that risk = reward, and although no major loss should ever be made, don't invest if you're not willing to potentially lose money.

*You can see from my offers I was practically able to sell 3 dose at the same price I bought 4 dose for, meaning I profited 1 dose per potion. Repeating this, at least in this instance, would get me a sizeable amount of free potions.

*Remember that the limit will reset after 4 hours from your very first purchase of the potion. That is something important to remember.

*Any feedback about it is appreciated as always. I hope you managed to understand the numbers! Apart from that, hope you enjoyed and see you on the next video.

  • To everyone who said this method is ruined: The prayer renewals are obviously not going to give as much profit as I said that is the best I've ever seen it. I also mentioned it's best to use the method at times when the market is unstable, or bonus exp weekend. It is currently neither. The method is not "ruined", it's just not consistent, which is why I made the video when it did work.

  • Are you in a 1500+ world?

Just everyone has skillcapes on lol

  • Where did u find this desktop pin thing for notepad?

  • when you read about the new tzhaar boss did you get a hard-on?

  • @IMatDragonx Just to clear things up, what you said to rpotech: ``yeah, the only problem is 1k (2) = 2000 doses => 500 (4) doses. So you merch yourself into a hole there`` isnt true considering you get your profit per dose, so 3,312 - 3,000 = 312*3000= 936,000$

Only problem i think is that you can't glitch to get more than 1k every 4 hours but 900k in 4 hours for 5 minutes still isnt bad
