The Enniskillen Rememberance Day Massacre

A tribute to the people of Enniskillen, who lost their lives to the "Poppy Bomb / Rememberance Day Massacre" of 1987. My thoughts are with those who lost a family member or friend, and those seriously injured by the cowardly attack. May those who died on that fateful day be remembered forever in our hearts and minds, never forgotten. Rest in Peace. Lest We Forget.

As someone from the Republic, it always fill me with tremendous shame and anger when I look at what the PIRA have done supposedly in our name! This has actually brought tears to my eyes. At 20yrs old, I am lucky to have never been around at that time. But I live in Enniskillen and know the families of some of those killed, as well as having close family there that day. It disgusts me that this ever happened, yet it happened time and again. And now there's talk that those times are returning. Peace to Enniskillen and to Northern Ireland! Don't let the cowards start their reign of terror again!!

Im Protestant and wear my poppy with pride when in Northern Ireland and not just for our war dead, but for appalling acts of atrocity done by the IRA. May peace come to Northern Ireland for both Protestant and Catholic.
