Liberty Waves raced with intent for the Championship. 09 AMA Moto GT1 Series as bronze medalists.

Later, Team sponsors approached Liberty Waves about plans for 2010. We responded: We are racing AMA American Superbike. When asked on what make, we stated: the new BMW S 1000RR. Three months passed, and we had yet to take possession of an S1000RR but submitted our race entry to the AMA 2010 Season opener at Daytona International Speedway anyway. Two weeks before the race, we were informed that a bike could not be shipped to us in time for Daytona. It looked like our season was over before it even began. Nine days before the first warm up laps of the Daytona event, an S1000RR was located and immediately shipped to Blue Moon Cycle BMW. Seven days before the qualifying sessions for Daytona, the Liberty Waves crew took possession of the bike on a crispy February evening and took turns riding the S1000RR around metro Atlanta to break in the engine.

What amounted to a relay of 5, riders were able to warm up with coffee in between turns and put 600 miles on the S1000RR. On Friday morning, the S1000RR began undergoing minor modifications to transform it into a race-ready bike. Modifications included removing the catalytic converter, retrofitting the exhaust .twice, Vortex producing gearingtwice and Wicked Ways (should be known as Wicked Fast) painting the new body work and tank. We departed to Daytona and thus began the first 60 days our BMW S1000RR adventure.

We hope that youre having as much fun with your BMW S1000RR.
