Nice idea. Most folks would like to know how long you can stay out before having to come in,
how much charge time, and a general idea about the cruising speed. About half the video was
spent in a pseudo dramatic interview in a darkened vehicle cab. We would like to see this in
daylight sometime, with more emphasis on the boat and what it can do, and less emphasis on
two guys conversing the afternoon away. An electric boat isn't much fun if it has to be recharged
after 30 minutes.

@DumblyBrilliant and the last time I checked lead acid batteries are one of the most toxic things on the planet. The stupidity of people who think we can destroy this planet. when we push to hard she always pushes back. (earthquakes, tornados, tidal waves, etc.) She was here long befor us and will be here long after we are gone

The Vessel a nice proof of concept. Interesting that he uses a Variable Frequency Electric Motor. Using Lead-Acid batteries are the least
expensive and can last 10 Years If properly maintained. " Only boat on the water"?? Before Steam we where Sailing about on Wind on Magnificent Vessel's

gallons of electricity?? how can you measure electricity in gallons?

I saw an old macgregor sailboat in storage once that was offered to anyone who would haul it out of the place. It used a water ballast system. To seal that area and store a bank of cells would have made it a geat canidate for a project of this nature.

That's was a great interview... for 9 year old kids in Mrs. Carter's 3rd grade class ... now for us adults, if you could ask questions above "Dr Fun Science is your friend " like, how much did this cost, what is the recharge time, how much does the system weigh, what is the recharge time, etc... etc... etc...

That looks like the same ramp i use in clearwater.

@ZKMX7 your an idiot for assuming everyone knows everything about electricity
-
how is an electric boat usage measured in MPG (miles pergallon)????
-
Its great research and Maple, when people become even more dependent on electricty to run cars and boats, the smart thing for us to do is build more electrical plants to meet the needs of the people.
Actually Electric cars outnumbered gas cars until about 1905.

An intelligent inventor asked the most stupid questions anyone can think of. (in the assumption that the TV viewers are completely stupid!)- Surely there is a limit to "dumbing down"!!!
