Liu Hufei, student of master Wu Nanfang, performing Tong Bei Quan.

Master Wu Nanfang is the great, great grandson of Master Wu Gulun. He was born and brought up in Bai Yu Gou, the village of his ancestors.

From an early age he studied Wugulun Kung fu -- firstly with his great grandfather, the second Grandmaster, Wu Shanlin, and, after he died, with his granduncles, Wu You De and Qiao Hei Bao and lastly Zhang Qing He. Master Wu Nanfang has thus inherited the original Shaolin culture and traditions -- ChanWuYi, the Wugulun form of Kung fu, and the secrets of XinYiBa -- which have been passed down through the generations of the Wu family lineage.

  • I was thinking bout taking this as a form of exersie (i also need to know how to spell better)

but what areas of the body would this work

  • @chillyfresh most importantly it should work your mind. When your mind becomes aware your Qi can flow and this will be good for every part of your body.

Also the lower part of the body (legs and waist) will become very strong since this is where the power comes from.

  • Bad

  • many different styles of tong bei. fact.

  • This is clearly not Tong Bei! I dunno why they call it Tong Bei. Nothing in Common with traditional Tong Bei Quan!

  • is this tong bei quan??? not the version I know anyway... interesting stuff though!

  • I have met and trained with Mr. Liu. Very good guy and a hard working martial artist.

  • @chillyfresh If you went to this particular school, you would first notice your legs becoming very strong. After a few months of practice, the emphasis would be on your "core", your abdomen and lower back. After some time they also emphasize weight lifting.

  • @chillyfresh legs and cardio
