If that spark had hit you in the face this video would have like a million views by now! Just sayin.
-
Wth? That's like 2fps, and you caught every spark. Sounds fishy to me.

-chuckles- the 'frames' aren't instant otherwise you'd be right. It looks like low frame rates but each frame is a 'long time' exposure. That's how he caught the sparks. :)

@someman7 yea but each frame is over a really long time

if i had a nickle for every frame in this video, i'd have a nickle

Keep away from those energy binders. If your hand gets caught in the beam, it's gonna go numb for hours.

Now mr wizzard when we going to up load a video on how we can charge up a battery with one of these gizmos. my electric car needs a charger.

Will you also upload your previous project "homemade camera"? ^^

@noahboa9258
Buy me one! LOL
No, but seriously; I had the camera set on it's "night" setting. This was
done deliberately in order to catch the sparks. The slow frame speed
was needed because the sparks only last a tiny fraction of a second.

Hi. Thanks. Excellent to hear. I will check this out. Sounds like we might have some things in common.
Thanks again.

The camera is on its 'night' setting. This results in slow jerky motion, and a grainy overall appearance. But it was also the only way for me to capture the sparks on film.

The injury the spark would cause would solely be due to galvanic muscle reactions. i.e., a muscle spasm that cuases your body to leap head first into the wall :P You need a 40mA current long enough to depolarize the heart be conducted through the heart to stop it. High voltage does not equal high current.

Big Leyden jars are still dangerous. Although the duration is short, they can provide very significant current. Its easy to get shocked because few things insulate well at these voltages. Concrete is almost a dead short, and you can be electrocuted with one of these machines when working on a concrete surface.
