It all started with one simple idea: a fashion show for working women, held to coincide with The Gloss's first anniversary. The magazine's first major fashion event was to be a showcase for clothes that were relevant to professional women, women who rarely get to see fashion shows at charity events, women who find it difficult to find time to shop. The Gloss team (all working women, of course) was determined also that the show would reflect how we really 
shop -- ie a mix of designer, boutique and high street -- and that the event should be held conveniently after a day at the office.
