WAYLON JENNINGS played electric bass for "Buddy" on the last Winter Dance Party.
These guys are not The Crickets, but they love what they do, and SO DO I!

OK, but not great. Buddy never played a Gretsch nor did he play licks from "Rock around the clock" in his songs. Electric bass is not cool, either. Not trying to bitch, but if you're gonna do something, do it right? It's OK, but not great.

Thanks for your comment. During that segment of the show, we tell the audience Buddy's going to play Eddie Cochran's guitar to give them a taste of other rock of the era. The whole show is 95% Buddy, but we have fun on this one - Your comments are all entirely correct but hopefully you'd enjoy the show in its entirety.

Buddy did have a electric bassist

True, but Joe B Mauldin switched over midway through their career. They started doing all shows with the stand up. I think he switched over around mid -1958
