The map of Middle East countries and empires has been changing constantly since ancient time. This video shows the various imperial conqueres of the Middle East and the maps of the Middle East in those time periods. And it puts the present day political problems into perspective.
I didn't make this video. The credits say mapsofwar.com made it.

@Joey6131995 What are you talking about? The Jews in Israel have different cultures. Either European Jews who immigrated to Israel from European nations such as Russia, Poland German etc. Or the Arab Jews who have lived in the middle east and what I would consider pure Jews or closer to it. Those Jews have Arabic culture, and speak Arabic as well, and would sometimes identify themselves as Arabs if they did not face discrimination by the European Jews.

You are wrongly and misleadingly showing geographic areas as if they were precisely defined.
Where is the land of Canaan in all that, it's convenient to skip it isn't it?

Woah up.... did I read that introduction correctly?! It said that at one time the Jews had ruled the Middle East.
You gotta be joking!
At the very biggest stretch of the imagination, the Jews never controlled more than a tiny, tiny sliver of land in the region. As ISRAELITES, under King Solomon, they controlled a somewhat larger bit of land, but hardly the Middle East!
Besides which, you ask any Muslim and he'll deny there ever WAS a time that the Jews ruled anything in the region!

But the "Empire" ended one century ago and was completely gone by the end of World War 2.

@mapofmiddleeast This video misses alot of detail on the Middle Eastern island of Cyprus. For instance, it was a part of the Egyptian kingdom, the Hittie empire, a crusader state and gained its colonial independence in 1960. Cyprus is both geographically and culturally Middle Eastern, and it is included in most definitions of the region, including historic ones. As a colonised land, it is historically a lot closer to its fellow Middle Eastern states than Imperial, European nations.

its really fascinating how the jews have stuck together for so many years, that little strip of land has been taken over and ravaged and rebelled and faught so many times it seems like they would have blended with the arabic culture around them by now. I really respect their unity.
