AIREY HILL FARM TO SKINNINGROVE
Our trek continues. Leaving Airey Hill farm and down through the village of Skelton, a further climb takes us on into Saltburn-by-the-Sea.

Finally an evening cliff-top walk brings us to the Victorian ironworks town of Skinningrove.
n.b. This complete video of the Cleveland Way was filmed and edited on VHS tape in 1984, 23 years ago!

that building just before you leave the cliff path into skinningrove is the fan house on warsett hill it was used to pump air nto the iron stone mines at skinningrove the mines closed in 1957 0r 1958

the post office/chemist is a hair dressing salon now,but the post box is still in use.

it is a fan magazine,providing air to the miners....as a school kid we used to camp in it and drink weak cider about 1992 lol

Well done, great video. Mum and I lived in Skinningrove 2002-04. It's hardly changed, wish we were still there.
