THE IRISH ROVERS IN DISNEYLAND & THE IRISH ROVERS MUSIC HALL. In 1979 in Disneyland THE IRISH ROVERS CBC TV Special included Will Millar singing "Catch Another Butterfly" and the Rovers with a closing Medley of Hits. Prior to that is an item from THE IRISH ROVERS MUSIC HALL. Following their initial 7 half hour CBC shows and because of their ratings success, the CBC signed the Rovers to a full series. However the Rovers were already contracted for a concert tour and were available for all but seven shows. They recommended a friend from Ireland, Jimmy Kennedy, a popular entertainer and comedian, to host a mini series titled THE IRISH ROVERS MUSIC HALL featuring music from the English Music Halls, and they were interspersed among the Rovers shows. One of the guests was Oscar nominated Stanley Holloway, who played the original Alfred Doolittle on Broadway as the father of Liza (Julie Andrews). He played the same role in the film with Audrey Hepburn as Liza. The classic songs "With a Little Bit of Luck" and "Get Me to the Church on Time" were written especially for him, and CBC was fortunate to get Stanley to perform both hit songs. I Love The Rovers segments!!. They always had the best songs & greatest jokes to tell. I Miss those days when they were young & these videos are the Greatest, bringing back those good ole days with so many happy memories.!! Thank You So Much for sharing these. WOW! Neat footage of the Rovers in Disneyland. That's Sweet!! I remember will millar singing Catch another butterfly in concert when i seen them once in the mid to late 80's.
