  • are vascular glomeruli (caused by hyperplasia of the endothelial vascular cells) pathognomic in glioblastomas , or they are just a trivial occasional presentation? thank you.

  • imho "vascular glomeruli" is kind of a new buzzword which will come and go until some new jockey with another fucking stain will coin a new term, but the entity is "relatively" specific for GBM, although ugly vascular proliferations are also seen elsewhere, imho

  • i do not think a link has been established so far officially

  • My brother was 30 years old when diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme in stage 4. He passed his symptoms off as severe migrains. At the time of his diagnosis he was takin in for surgury and had 1/4 of his tumor removed. He survived 5 years and 3 surgurys. The worse part for our family were his seizures. He was told he had 2 months even with his first operation. Thank you doctors for your growing knowledge in this field. You've givin me 5 extra years with my only brother.

  • my father, my aunt and probably my paternal grandfather died in braintumor... In the last years I'm having one-week periods of a really strong headache each day...I've had always migraine, but it's stronger sometimes. Does that make a higher risk for me?

  • @kliikd Yes there is. I'm not promoting weed as a panacea, I'm merely saying that cannabinoids (both synthetic and natural) have shown a variety of anti-tumour effects. These include induction of apoptosis, inhibition of VEGF pathway, downregulation of matrix metalloproteinase-2 expression etc. If you have a problem with marijuana thats fine with me but its stupid to assume that it should be ignored as a potential source of therapeutic agents.

  • @skagsux No there isn't. What evidence are you citing? Why do some Westerners love citing cannabis and marijuana as a panacea for all things?

  • My husband after operation live only 6 month. He was only 43

  • I'm not sure about kill, but there is evidence that cannabinoids may inhibit the growth of these tumour cells.

  • would marijuana would kill those tumor cells
