FF7 MMO Challenge: Getting Sadness from Grangalan Jr.

This video demonstrates how to gain Sadness from Grangalan Jr. and thus save yourself a trip back to the first continent (after Corel Prison), in order to hit up an Elfadunk.

Getting Sadness at this point - right after Jenova*BIRTH - is pointless (you'd want it for Barret during his battle with Dyne, but of course an automatic heal screws you sideways again) but it's fairly useful lateron, when you're to fight Gi Nattak.

Grangalan Jr. (the middle, ehm, thing on the video) has an attack called "Triclops", which has a 72% chance of inflicting Slow-numb and Sadness.

Terence Fergusson's Enemy Mechanics FAQ states that Grangalan Jr. can only use "Triclops" after the three Grangalan Jr. Jr.'s it spawns are killed, but I've seen them use it even with some of the little guys remaining. Best to blow them away regardless, because it doesn't hurt to be sure.
