@tamanthak My son is also 11 years old and severely autistic. Thank you for your video and reminding me how special he is despite his shortcomings. We gave up on so many therapies (ABA really was harsh on him and the whole family). We're doing RDI with him now. It's a slow process but it's helped him. Nutrition was hard. We sent him to a clinic yrs ago just to learn to eat. BMs continue to be a problem. Our son speaks rarely and unintelligibly. Yet, his love touches us all.

My three nephews are adhd. It was a shock at first but it doesn't make as sad or frustrated. it's an everyday challenge for us but it's no sweat because we love them. God is good, special kids are really adorable... :)

Many special kids known as Crystal Children are wrongfully diagnosed with Autism. Please google it!!!
...Despite a decade of intensive therapies, he is still non-verbal and significantly intellectually delayed. He is not merely developing slowly. He has not responded to nutritional therapies and other alternative therapies (and trust me, we have tried many). He has responded solely to ABA. We are strong and vocal advocates for our son and not only accept him for who he is but celebrate his differences. He is Different, Not Less. And so are you. And your children. No matter your challenges. <3

Over the last few years, many people have taken the time to comment about this video. For the people who left positive, constructive comments, thank you. For those who have not, well, it probably isn't appropriate for me to write what I think of it. Tavish is now almost 11 years old. He is doing very well and is a delightful child. However, let me clarify that he is still severely autistic. Continued in next post...
