Q: You already posted this video; why are you posting it again?
A: Etienne Abelin gave me permission to use this recording in a video, and it was a better performance than the one I'd been using before. Also, I thought it was a good piece to submit to the "YouTube Play" program, and I wanted to give it my best shot. Wish us luck!

Q: Is there a way I could make this kind of animation myself?
A: The Music Animation Machine MIDI file player will generate this kind of display; you can get the (Windows) software here:

There are lots of places on the web where you can get MIDI files; I usually go to the Classical Archives site first:

  • Brilliant music. Could you add a Paganini Caprice maybe?!

  • @leoquis888 I might, someday.

  • I'm sorry if this was already answered elsewhere, but are the specific colors intentional (i.e: if someone had synesthesia, would they be seeing these colors?) or are they simply to more clearly separate which instruments are playing what?

  • @EvanFingerstyle The latter.

  • @smalin Wow, thank you for the quick response! And it certainly makes for a beautiful visual. Thank you for all the work you put into these videos; it really shows.

  • @EvanFingerstyle Thanks. It's great to have my work appreciated.
