Here is a short video of one of my walking sticks. Full grown adults are as big as 4 inches. They are parthenogenetic so females can reproduce without a male and lay viable eggs.
My latest batch of eggs are currently hatching, and I have had around 50 offspring in the past couple of months. They are easy to take care of and make great pets.

  • I wonder if you cold help me, Just yesterday i saw a Little baby stick insect, but i dont know when it hatched. I have 3 big ones, which i got last november and now out of no were comes one more.

I dont know weather there will be more as im not an expert. Also i tried searching for the eggs and i found these squareish objects on their floor, is that it?

  • They hatch about 14-16 weeks after they are layed. You probably will have more babies. I don't know what you are using for the bottom but paper towel or newspaaper allow easier location of the eggs. I collect them when cleaning the cage and place in a small dish (botton half of dixie cup) so I don't have to seperate them every time. The are brown, round and have a little white bump. They are larger and rounder than the feces, so when cleaning I kind of roll the eggs off by titling the par towel.

  • they freak me the fuck out like i hear they bite and are poisonous

  • Yes, and if they get on you when you sleep they bore into your head through your eyeball and suck your brains out.

  • where did u gt them i live in the us where can i get them bacause ive been looking for a long time and havent been able to find them

  • i got them from a friend, but entomology departments at colleges is a good place to find them. Good luck.

  • It's called a Phasmatodea!

  • @Valkeie no, their not poisonous. and the dont bite. the look like sticks because they have no way of defending themselves. so technically their defence is blending in.

  • @Valkeie No, they do not bite and are not poisonout. They are harmless.

  • this music is overdramatic
