What are Yantras. Yantras, mantras, and Tantra.
There is a book that has been translated into English, called the 'Ocean of Beauty'. This book is devoted to the describing the expansion of the Sri Yantra, the most important Yantra in the Vedas. The Sri Yantra resides in our sacred heart chakra, as the seed Yantra of our being. To know the seed of our being, is to know the Universe. This is the real reason the Hermetic's said "As above, so below. As below, so Above."
I finally figured out what is a better term for Yantra is. A Yantra is an algorithm that expands as you use it to become the Universe inside yourself and outside yourself.
The present creator of this universe, Brahma, has been at this creator business for only a short time. He had failures with 7 previous universes before this. In every case, too many of the inhabitants became realized too quickly. When that happened, the universe disappeared if a blaze of Super-consciousness. Now, in order to keep the universe around for a longer time, he is regulating the number of beings that become realized. As part of that plan, he has taken a great interest in helping selected individuals become realized in such a way that this individual helps maintain the cosmic order, not destroy it.
Buddha was such a radical from this perspective, as he took the vow to help every sentient being become realized. Brahma was successful in turning that message into the maintenance of the world order, rather than the destruction of it.
I have taken the teachings of Brahma to heart, and will only show the secrets to those who search for them.

  • All the facts about Brahma are Okay. But how can you apply a yantra? Is it just for visualization or, concentration, or, for something else? For example, number yantras cannot be applied for concentration... they must be constructed with special ingredients... what might be their application then?

  • @prathamkalpik The purpose of doing a yantra is to create a tantra. We are all doing tantras right now, but some or all of them we do not like. The sum of our tantras is our reality we see around us. We do yantra to make a new tantra that will change our life for the better (which means the sum of our tantras will now have a different outcome). There are stages in yantra, just as meditation leads to samadhi eventually. And yes, there are systems where number yantras can be used for concentration

  • @prathamkalpik Number yantras are special application of a concentration exercise where there is an association with a deity with a number. So, in this instance, the numbers are associated with different powers of a deity. The collection of the ingredients means that ingredients are also associated with that deity. Whether or not you know the associations, doing the yantra concentrates the mind on that deity. Whether you jump or fall into the river, you still get wet.

  • Thank you brother! This was an awesome explanation!!! How you seen a difference in your life with the use of yantras? Om Shanti

  • Yantras are everywhere. You drive a yantra that once was a blueprint for a car. Yantras are tool for visualizing a different reality. You become the visualization, and then you become the reality. All the study of yantras does is put you in control of that process that already is going on. Success in that control is called Self-Realization

  • Hi Meir

It may be possible that "Ocean of Beauty" is on the net for free, but I have not seen it. Amazon has used paperbacks quite reasonable. The chakra is the sacred heart chakra, not the heart chakra. There is quite a bit on the net about this, plus there are many sites that have the Sri Yantra. Not much explanation about either of them, though. This is an example of the hidden secrets of the Vedas being hidden in plain view.
