@theedgeinshow someone needs to take a leasson and learn the hard way.

i highly doubt the strike zone was 6 inches off of the ground throughout the entire game. maybe the umpire got mixed up on one breaking pitch and called a strike down around the shins, but there's no way a D1 umpire would be able to work his way up to the college level having that bad of a strike zone. this coach was probably arguing to defend his player and pump up his team...listen to the positive reaction he gets from the crowd. quit acting like one borderline call is the end of the world.

@jarod1672 thank u....seriously

@jarod1672 fuck you, umpires deserve what they get. 99% of you are fucking retards

I've come to realize that whenever a team is losing or not playing well, the umpires become "horrendous". I'm guessing you've never stepped foot on a baseball field, as a player, and certainly not as an umpire! We umpires hear bullshit from people like you all the time, people who don't have a fucking clue about baseball, much less what a strike is! Get a fuckin life!

Only thing is as the home plate umpire, get the hell outta there... Your partner has split you and the coach, take a walk go away..

*rolls eyes* a sirke is a judement call and its final end of story.

HAHAHAHAHAAAA!!
Funny how you whiners never point out that these managers make 100 times more mistakes (Strategy, wrong pitcher, wrong sign) and their errors hurt their team more than any RARE bad call would.
Yet it's all you morons focus on.

Ha. I was at this game. The umpire missed one pitch and everyone went nuts. Other than that he was good.

First off, you can tell from where your sitting, that its exactly 6 inches from the ground? I dont think so. Also, that would put the pitch around ankle high. I dont know of any umpire who calls a strike that low at DIV 1 level. You just dont see it. Trust me, I know, if any umpire at this level was calling his zone where you say it is, he wouldnt be doing games at this level too long. Evaluations take place all the time, and a zone deemed that low would get the umpire dinged right away.
When the lowest part of the strike zone is 6 inches off the ground, yeah I'd call that pretty horrendous.
