Cullen, thank you for sharing with me your clip in video reponse to my Bobby Shew & Las Vegas Brass Band plays I Can't Get Started. Each artist adds their own feeling to these numbers to make it their's. Only wish you had more of you than :36. Again thank you and if you are in the Pacific Northwest it would be a pleasure to hear you and get you on camera!

Hi Cullen, Many thanks for your response. Dennis really created something special. We had a similar place in Brussels run my a man called Pol Leanders - The Bierodrome. Both he and his club are gone. They did however name a street in his memory. Dennis's club and The Bierodrome and many other similar venues had that - anything might happen atmosphere. Great to see this. I played several times at this club. Including a week just before Christmas in the mid eighties. Alas Dennis has passed on. And too his club. It was situated in a quiet residential area of Hamburg and had real atmosphere. Many great International names played there. The kind of club with - names dropping in after their main gig. - ambience that is sad to say has almost disappeared from the current jazz scene. Happy days. Happy memories. Peter Maguire.
