Yes. Lets have the old testament god back shall we. The vain child slaughtering moron. We knew where we wre with him. We didn't have to think - transgression equals death. Religion does this which is why it is meaningless!

That's ridiculous. He created us to have a brain, to have free will, he created us and loves us but he will destroy us if we don't use our brain or don't choose the way he wants us to choose?
If he wanted robots, he should have created robots.

I pray that you believe in the God of Justice, because God is just. His love does not temper His Justice.. He did not make Hell for people but for Satan, but He cannot allow sin to taint His Holy presence.

What this example really showed is how we've all been indoctrinated to believe that a forgiving God doesn't actually forgive you unless you somehow acknowledge the gift. A forgiving God created a place of eternal torment to send those he supposedly loves if they don't use their free will to choose his will. I believe in the God of forgiveness, not jihad and vengence.

Why do you have to dilute the truth to make it easier to "swallow"? Why would you want your congregation full of those who are there because you diluted the truth? Why do you want someone on your team who is there for selfish reasons and not for the good of the whole?
You have to answer for that. Remain true to the bible and its doctrine.

i think the reason why todd uses sarcasm because false teachings are foolish and laughable. but seriously todd is serious about spreading the gospel. its just a method that todd uses but the message of Christ is the same. =]

It's as if the "Emerging" would read that and interpret:
1-> I send you "spiritually sensitives"
2-> wisely-confused
3-> scribblers of Bible truths
4-> and the prophets, wise men and scribes of orthodoxy will come and persecute you...
Sorry for the out-of-context illustration but my flesh wanted to make that point. =)
Its sad to see the emptiness people want to value and believe.
