Please Read Before Performing This Fix!

Taking apart your XBOX 360 HDD will viod any warranty that it may have come with when it was purchased! Do this fix at your own risk! Parts inside HDD are fragile and may break if not handled correctly! I am not responsible for your actions.

This is a Brand new 20 Gig HDD that I purchased online at Ebay. When first using it, it gave me the E 68 Error, which is mainly caused by a Corrupt HDD. For a walkthrough on how to take apart your Xbox 360 HDD, look on Youtube or Google on how to do so. All that I did to come accross this fix, was when it is apart, I blew into the connection to where the HDD and the cables meet. Once putting it back together, the HDD worked fine after that.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: I'm not sure why, but after doing this fix, it can only be used on the Xbox 360 that it was connected to first! When moving to a different Xbox 360, I found myself with the E 68 Error once again, and had to repeat the steps. Once done, it worked again on the Xbox 360 that I first started with. I don't know if it has something to do with the type of HDD or not, but please keep this in mind when doing this fix!

  • hey man i did this exact thing u showed, but it still dont werk any advice? cus i dont feel lik buying a new hard drive >=l

  • @sk8rnyc I have a second video on fixing this error code that you can try in my profile. If that doesn't work, then there is no other choice but to buy a new one. Sorry mate.

  • It works that you can return onto the dashboard but it doesn't fix that you HDD is broken anyway. After going on the dashboard at 2:20 there are no profiles on your HDD so it actually means that it's still broken, am I right?

  • @lilphil99 If you actually took the time to read the description of my video, it states that this is a Brand New HDD just bought, so it doesn't have any Profiles on it yet.

  • doesn't this ban you from xbox live for "modding"?

  • @Flamable3000 This is not considered "modding". This is simply fixing what Microsoft couldn't build right.
