This is a beautiful song, straight from Scripture. I wish a political ad had not come on first. Whether you like the candidate or not, a song about the kingdom of God should not be promoting a candidate. Does Brian Doersken control this, or does YouTube just assign random ads to the video?

To be just means to give our excess wealth, in excess of our true needs and not wants, desires, comforts and conveniences is a basic requirement of discipleship with Jesus, These clowns who tell you otherwise are hocking God's Word and selling a false Gospel for a Prophet, oops I mean profit, they will be answerable to Jesus on the day of Judgment and the just will rule over them

The Gospel of wealth which tells a lie about the nature of the abundant life is a creation of the devil and all who adhere to it are apostates. The abundant life which Jesus promises has nothing to do with material possessions. It has to do with life in the Spirit and Truth. Obedience to the will of Christ brings true freedom for service to Christ and not for material comfort and luxury.

To be a true disciple of Jesus, you must go sell all you possess, give the money to the poor and follow Him. It is clear from Matt 19 and Mark 10, that material possessions are not a sign of God's favor and in fact may separate you from eternal life.

Where this idea of a divorce of Christian morality and behavior from faith came from is certain, the enemy of Christ....he acted through John Calvin and others who denied the true presnce of Christ first in the Eucharist and then in the poor.
