All he is saying is that alot of science is based on 'what is most likely to be'. Science that we may consider to be factual is only the most likely answer but is not infallible.

Alhumdullilah. Humza Yusuf is a gem for the muslims. I have learned so much from him. He has helped me understand a lot of deep concepts in a very simple way.

"you accept that human morals have evolved over time" -- It's not as simple as that.
Why? because God is said to be an absolute and unchanging standard. If God can prescribe something one day, and another the next, then his injunctions too are, essentially, arbitrary (potentially) and changing.
They're illegal, but I doubt you'd get many people being arrested for it
Then again, so is taking smoking marijuana. You could ask what the basis for that is, there may be none, really.

so if you accept that human morals have evovled over time, even in non-religious societies, then why is it so difficult for you to understand that God prescribed a different way of living to different people over a different time.
Also why is it that even in democratic societies incestuous relationships are illegal by law. I mean what is that based on (im not saying the law is wrong in this case but im questioning the basis of secular law)

No, I accept that the acknowledgement or understanding that certain things as being vicious or immoral has changed over time, in certain instances.
Yes, they should be allowed to, because they are two consenting adults, just as people should, I believe, be allowed to smoke, use drugs, use alcohol, etc.
You have to understand, however, that just because the practice is not illegal, that does not mean that it is not vicious or immoral.
I wouldn't stop them but it'd still be vicious.
