Ukraine Orphan Rehab

This shows pictures of kids in Ukraine who live in sewers and what the government is trying to do to help them. The sewers are warmer than staying above ground. These kids steal to live and sniff glue to get a high and give them an out. In the rehab centers the sewer kids are joined by orphans moved from orphanages for various reasons, sometimes because of problems. The children stay and are educated from 9 months to 18 months then moved to trade schools. Conditions in the trade schools are much worse than the rehab centers and the children often fail or can't cope. Almost all clothing comes from donations from western charities. There are often severe limitations on the amount of food per child. Churches in the areas help with what they can. awsome, i was just wondering because i was in ukraine to do some repairs on an orphanage and was able to spend time with the children there as well a few years ago

We are all volunteers! We do train some for those going over but right now we are working to bring children here.

In 2004 and 2006, I volunteered with children in Lviv. These children who have been rescued by missionaries have come from some of the most frightening circumstances. Bless you and your work in Kharkiv.

i was at a orphanage in Kharkiv
