hi. dolphin fishes like warm temperate water. but i can't say you the exact temperature. this seems also to be different from location to location.
i caught them in as little as 100 ft of water but 400 ft ore more should be better. seems also depending on the location ( e.g down in Brazil I found them always in deeper water more as 500 ft.) if you have further questions please ask Capt. Jim from BeastCharters. He is really the the best captain in south florida i know
