DECLARING THAT "THE NUMBERS IN WASHINGTON NO LONGER ADD UP",  DESOTO COUNTY MATH TEACHER AND POLITICAL INDEPENDENT LES GREEN ANNOUNCED HIS CANDIDACY FOR THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS IN MISSISSIPPI'S FIRST DISTRICT ON THURSDAY, MARCH 11TH AT 12 NOON  AT THE GALE COMMUNITY CENTER AT 2601 ELM STREET IN HERNANDO.

  • Sorry to say but sounds as much like a Republican or Tea Party guy as the others. I would like to hear someone who is REALLY an independent & would work with others. Sounds to me, as you stand on the church house steps that you put more talk in God than you do in your fellow human being. I believe My God, wants us to look out for our neighbors - not push them down further - you say we're heading toward "National Sovereignty" then claim your not running no "fear"... disappointed - I listened!

  • The only question I have for any candidate is: will you vote in accordance with the constitution and principles of liberty? The only member of congress who currently does this is Ron Paul. I hope Mr Green is committed to REDUCING power and control in D.C. and not trying to find legislative solutions to the problems he mentioned. The abomination that is our federal govt IS the problem. Starve it to death. If so I'm on board b/c Childers and Nunnalee offer nothing. If not I'm still looking
