At first glance, the crash site on Hwy. 9 in Calhoun City looked early Monday morning appeared to include incredible carnage with more than 20 vehicles scattered in the front yard of Doris Ferguson. A closer inspection revealed the 4 a.m. accident only involved one tractor-trailer hauling numerous junk-vehicles. The truck overturned as it came around the curve in front of Evans' Eye Clinic, taking out a utility pole that knocked out power for several blocks, and scattering debris across the highway. Calhoun City and Derma firemen were on the scene to extricate the driver, who was transported by ambulance to Oxford with head injuries. Traffic was redirected as the road remained blocked for nearly three hours. Natchez Trace Power removed the downed power lines and Parker Brothers, above, rolled the large truck over and hauled it away around 6:30 a.m.
@24preacherboy You gonna dig a hole under the truck to latch the drivers side? That truck is junk, the frame is gonna be bent, and you'll never fix it right. I wouldn't be calling anyone retard if I was you.
