Nice Gia Scala 1 / 1 " Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea " 1965

Here see the beautiful Gia Scala wearing a matching long sleeved mid dark blue top, " long " pleated skirt and black " short " pull on boots. The scene is from the 2nd Season Episode " Jonah and the Whale " circa 1965. Gia ( who plays a Russian marine scientist ) and " Admiral Nelson " are talking about their mission which is to lower via cable a ball shaped diving " bell " containing them to the bottom of a destroyed research lab to learn what happened to it; already they have lost another Russian researcher ( a man ). Enjoy !

@Sener No worries; thanks. They seem to have had better actress's in Season's 1 and 2 after which they stopped having women on the show; which I think was a mistake. Gia's performance is as you say classy and also I find it powerful but subtle. Regards.

@Splitskirts Irwin Allen was notoriously cheap with his shows, and it's been said one way he cut costs in Seasons 3 and 4 was to stop using female actresses because of the expense involved with wardrobe and make up. I do know from watching VTTBOS that he had no problem trying to cut costs. Watch some of the underwater footage you'll see he used stock footage that was often out of sync with what was happening.
