Pwnt by fake anti-virus software

I deliberately infected a spare computer with a fake anti-virus program, AntiVir 2008 (or something), so as to test a recovery CD I had downed. Hilarious fun - it downloads itsself whether you want it or not, then it claims lots of hits and demands money, at which point it then installs itsself AGAIN.

So, in Soviet Russia, anti-virus software infects YOU!

(PS The recovery CD was crap)

@ItalianGamerPro You have to run the right programs in sequence and do it in safe mode... let's see... I use Malwarebytes anti-malware, then Spybot S&D, then finally top it off with a blast of ComboFix. And then install a decent anti-virus prog, like Avast. Good thing is it's free, bad thing is that all the paid for anti virus that comes with your computer is worthless... good luck!
