Awesome, optimistic interpretation. Nice contrast to the Koopman recording I've played to death, which has a stunning, hauntingly delicate 5th overtone over the cantus firmus.

My favourite Schubler chorale. The accompaniment completely overshadows the mere melody. What an ingenious work! The left hand is very hard worked as are the feet but the right hand has it very easy! Personally I prefer a slightly slower tempo though it does slow the melody rather more than perhaps it should. This is very skilfully played nevertheless.
