  • This needs more views It's one of the best tutorials on Blender ever.

  • @CadenBurleson thanks i'm glad you liked it. i just wish i had these type of short, "teach a man how to fish" tutorials while i was learning, so i'll keep making them so long as people keep finding them useful

  • been looking how to do this in blender 2.49... and i just cant find how, its a simple task projecting faces above a object, reply me how

  • @guitarspectre should be in the video -_-

  • @ralusek

who wil vertice or edge something that was created using sculpt so easy, like its stupid redo the same work but lol... anyway i found out how i just got 1 copy from multires lvl 2 and it was done, just had to edit the normal map later on...

retopo fails and its a waste of time...

  • @guitarspectre the whole purpose of retopology is so that it animates correctly and captures the right silhouette. if you just use a lower subdivision as your cage mesh then that serves as nothing but a rough approximation of both of those. if that is the quality you're going for, go for it. if you're not going to animate it, you can also just decimate it. retopo is definitely not a waste of time though, and to say so just means that your target goal is of a lower quality, which is fine

  • One of the best blender tutorials I've ever seen, thank you! Really!

It would be great if you could make another one about exporting/creating normal maps and showed us the final result ^^

  • thx bro

  • Great tutorial, I've been using blender for years professionally, and there were some tricks in there that I never would have thought of. That'll definitely help with my retopo workflow. Thanks for the time you took to do this!
