*Gasp* Rock Band customs?!

Yes, they've been possible for a while now...but few people have managed to get them working from what I've gathered. Thanks to thepoop555 at Scorehero (you rock man), it's now relatively simple, although his program is still in the beta stage. I'm proud to present this video as proof that it works :D

Don't ask wtf is up with those extra blue notes in the very beginning that are impossible to hit, because I have no idea either...Also, all the random solo sections are there because in Rock Band, solo sections are the same as star power sections in GH.

PS - (Sorry for the same song as my last vid - it was the only one that I replaced that would work, but that issue is fixed now)

PPS - Rock Band customs look so much prettier, don't they? I dunno...maybe that's just me.

  • Why was the labeling so wrong? the parts labeled solos werent't even really solos. And then when the solo actually came it was only halfway labeled.

    otherwise a good custom.

  • I already explained that in the description.

"...Also, all the random solo sections are there because in Rock Band, solo sections are the same as star power sections in GH."

This chart was originally created for GH.

  • will this work with 360 or not?

  • Nope.

  • very nice my friend.

  • they do look prettier, can I request a song? slayer-necrophobic, please, pretty please!!! Its my dream to see that song in rock band, Do a man a favor

  • I have a slim ps2 with a flip top and Swap Magic. Very easy to install, and no system real system modification...just sensor blocking.

  • hmmm.

oh ok that would make sense (the last thing you said)

Plus, I do believe that I heard someone say that it would freeze if it came to some sort of thing in the track, but maybe it was the lack of something in the track......*oh well.

Progress is at a halt anyway until I can find a way to hack my ps2...

Any good ideas? The memor32 memory card is just a little bit too much for my taste, but I'm in no mood to rip open my ps2 and put a modchip in it. Any other ideas? It's a slim version.

  • The only event *I think* you need, is the end event. Not placing any guarantees, but I'm pretty sure. There have also been problems with songs freezing due to unneeded tracks in the .mid file (at least this was a problem with hacking Rock Band for Wii). If you take a look at an official RB .mid it should tell you everything you need to know.

  • yo.

I'm currently working on making customs for RB (correction, I'm working on getting them into a (almost there) hacked PS2...

They are all done (the .mid's and sound files) and I'm gonna use RockWiz, but I forget, what events do I need to put in the start and end in order to have the song actually play on RB and not just crash?

Thanks, and I'll post vids once I get it up!
