So Carol's IQ is 3 points higher than Trevor's IQ which is surprising that the woman is more intelligent than the man 141-138. However they both were smarter than Clevon who is the stereotypical American male who watches too much television and consumes too much alcohol. The population in 2505 seem to be descended from Clevon. Sadly Carol was the last truly intelligent person to have ever lived as she outlived her husband.

The Enlightenment can be blamed for a society like this. When societies were still built on tradition and faith, although in a much more barbaric and warlike world it also produced intelligent people who created the architecture we now see in ruins across Europe, Asia and America. Enlightened ideals not only invented the belief that humans can rule themselves but also made them more sensitive. In fact women and effeminate men are the dominance in Western society.
