@Animatronica The PBR actually did an event without flank straps. Wanna know what happened? The bulls bucked anyway. The only difference was the motion wasn't as straight as it is when they have a flank tied on. The flank doesn't irritate the bull, it just enhances the motion of the buck.

i have nothing but respect for bullriders, it takes a lot of guts to hop on a two thousand pound animal and know you are going to hit the ground.
