LOL! NOLA and DC are my two cities--I live between the two. I was born in DC, but my family is all from New Orleans. Geaux Saints and Go Skins! (I gotta root for the Saints in a Skins v. Saints superbowl, though). As far as Backyard and Rebirth comparisons--what the hell is the point?! Just give love to both and get your drink and dance baby! That's what's up. They both get their props. That said, I would like to see Backyard try to second line--wee should get the two together! XO

Having grown up on both bands music, there really is no way to compare. Both styles go hard. Ive played bass guitar in gogo and sousaphone in a brass band, and I will say they are equally fun and straight crunk!

yo im know bout dc...stayed on 14th street for a while.....got a chance to hear backyard band.....very talented. i think where they fall short(at no fault of their own) is the sound that rebirth pumps on anything they cover. that's that new Orleans music. i mean you cant compare that sound to anything in the world. hopefully no disrespect is taken from my words...
