Man, thank you so much for this review. I would NEVER have heard of this game before. I picked it up on eBay for $5 brand new shipped. OMG, it's SO awesome! And you're right about the Dreamcast vibe. The arcade version came out on the SEGA Naomi which was the arcade version of the Dreamcast :D

It is a nice game but once you get into versus mode with a friend, the battles soon fall into a pattern once you're both really understanding the game and I think that kills the fun in the long run.
