Wind of Shaolin

Wind of Shaolin is an epic drama combining martial arts, acrobatics and classical dance with lavish sets and stunning costumes. Performed by monks from the Shaolin Temple, home of Chinese martial arts and members of the Zhengzhou Song and Dance Theatre, with over 60 performers this spectacular dance work depicts a traditional Chinese story of love and loss.

Based on the Chinese legend of a young military monk, Wind of Shaolin tells the story of star-crossed lovers set amidst a landscape of war and battle. Skilfully depicted on stage with breathtaking special effects, Wind of Shaolin is an extravagant production that transports audiences to rural China on a journey of love and justice.

As one of Chinas newest performing arts companies, the Zhengzhou Song and Dance Theatre brings together Kung Fu experts with professional dancers to produce a performance worthy of the world stage. The troupes dancers have complemented their classical style with extensive training in Kung Fu.
