I wonder why the DSM-V committees are excluding people like Tony Attwood and Lorna Wing. They are experts in this field and it certainly would benefit to have their experience in this very important issue that either way will affect many people directly.

Well said, Dr. Tony: "It's not 'mild' for the people who have it." Thanks Craig Evans for this interview. Looking forward to seeing Dr. Tony when he comes to the states!

Hi, following...I have a Q 4 DrT. In his clinical & general experience, IS IT a hard & fast rule that those on the spectrum are either reclusive or 'mildly' SOCIALLY handicapped. Ie, do many aspies/auties 'relate from a distance', are they INTERESTED in society...the way some are in math or music. Can they be 'political' or artistic- but still predominantly autistic otherwise? Or is it mostly 'computer games'; vs. awkwardness but 'normal otherwise'. [Please do paraphrase!] Thanks 4 forum//site!!
