THIS LAST SCENE IS GRIPPING; HAPPY ENDINGS ARE ALWAYS WELCOMED AND THIS MOVIE HAS ONE. THE ORIGINAL MOVIE HAD FRANK SINATRA -JOHN GARFIELD- ACTUALLY DIE. BOO HOO ... THIS REMAKE ENDING IS MUCH MUCH BETTER I THINK. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SONG WITH FRANK AND DORIS BOTH IN A MOVIE TOGETHER. ....AS FAR AS I KNOW.

Doris is now 87 according from what is written in 2011. Regardless, she sounded wonderful on her birthday this year on the radio, as her usual birthday call every year is made. I'll bet she can sing and cry just as good as ever. As far as I can tell, she is the only one alive today who was in this movie. God bless you Doris, and thanks for the memories. Thank God for film!

Well, I understand what you're saying but----it surely does make for a great ending!!:-)Hey---what do you have against a beautiful home with the breeze blowing the curtains and the trees all budded out for Spring and the grass soooo green, etc. (Can we say Hallmark Card?) And to top it off, Lightening!!!!....lol The song all finished (with face and feet)...ahhhh. Let's dream on-AND that dress Doris has on...wow; I'll bet every girl in the good old USA had to have one just like it. Thnx4 comment
