  • @snowmountain2007 I was also making the larger point that this behavior is common. I have a consulting business and it is AMAZING to hear nonsensical jargon passing as an explanation. Sometimes, knowing the jargon, it is clear the other person has NO understanding of what they are saying, and is simply deceiving others into believing they are skilled and that a problem is more complex than is true. Language can be used to control others. If you don't understand, it's hard to question.

  • @kenfo0

Oh I agree with you. This man does not explain things very well at all. I'm glad I saw Lee LeFever's video, "Wikis in Plain English", simple and accurate! :)

  • I really don't mean any offense, but here goes: I am truly sick and tired of the ridiculous verbiage hurled around to describe things, either to make them more than they are, to confuse/exert power over others, or because the speaker doesn't have a clue. "a wiki is a collaborative environment...."; what does that mean, without explaining what a C.E. is? Nothing. "it is an online platform...". Really? Is that like an oil platform? No, that is not what is meant at all. It is a web page.
